1. Agreement & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Reed to Rock Academy. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (parent, guardian, student, or educator) and Reed to Rock Academy regarding your access to and use of our website (reed2rock.com), live virtual learning sessions, and educational services.
By accessing our website, booking a consultation, or enrolling in any learning cohort, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Nature of Services
- Independent Learning & Tutoring Support: Reed to Rock Academy provides high-quality live virtual tutoring, curriculum support (aligned with Cambridge Assessment International Education and Pearson Edexcel standards), STEM & tech skills programmes, and professional educator development.
- Institutional Status: Reed to Rock Academy operates as a supplementary online academy and tutoring support provider. We do not operate as a registered physical primary or secondary school, and we do not independently award formal government school diplomas unless specified under partner institution arrangements.
- Examination Registration: Parents and scholars remain responsible for registering for external curriculum examinations (such as IGCSE or A-Level papers) at approved private examination centers in their respective home countries, unless guided under specialized academy coordination.
3. Student Enrollment, Attendance & Conduct
A. Session Attendance & Punctuality
- Scholars are expected to attend all scheduled live virtual sessions on time with required learning materials (laptop, functional microphone/webcam, and stable internet).
- Missed sessions due to student absence are non-refundable. Session notes or recordings will be provided where available.
B. Code of Conduct & Online Etiquette
- Scholars must maintain respectful, constructive, and academic behavior during all live classes, discussion forums, and interactive group activities.
- Bullying, disruptive behavior, inappropriate language, or unauthorized recording of peers/educators is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate suspension without refund.
4. Fees, Billing & Refund Policy
- Programme Tuition Fees: Tuition fees for academic programmes, small group cohorts, and educator training modules are stated during the consultation placement process and confirmed prior to enrollment.
- Payment Schedules: Fees are payable in advance according to the agreed termly, monthly, or module-based payment schedule.
- Refund Policy:
- Before Cohort Commencement: Full refunds (minus administrative processing fees) are available if cancellation is requested in writing at least 7 days prior to the first scheduled session.
- After Cohort Commencement: Tuition fees are non-refundable once live sessions for a term or module have begun. In exceptional documented medical or personal circumstances, course credits may be transferred to a future cohort at the discretion of management.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
- Academy Content: All learning resources, slide decks, worksheets, custom coding projects, logo designs, software interfaces, and website copy displayed or provided by Reed to Rock Academy are protected under copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Limited License: Enrolled scholars and educators are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and download materials for personal educational use only.
- Restrictions: You may not record, record-screen, reproduce, distribute, resell, or publicly display any proprietary teaching materials or live class sessions without express written authorization from Reed to Rock Academy administration.
6. Educator Responsibilities & Academy Guarantee
- Qualified Instruction: Reed to Rock Academy guarantees that all live sessions are conducted by vetted subject specialists with demonstrated expertise in international British, Pearson Edexcel, or STEM curricula.
- Timetable Adjustments: In the rare event that an educator is unavailable due to illness or technical disruption, the academy will provide a qualified substitute specialist or reschedule the affected session.
7. Limitation of Liability & Warranties
- Educational Outcomes: While Reed to Rock Academy utilizes proven academic frameworks, certified educators, and interactive methodologies to maximize student potential, examination performance ultimately depends on individual student effort and consistent practice. The academy does not warrant specific grade outcomes.
- Technical Limitations: Reed to Rock Academy is not liable for disruptions, internet latency, or hardware failures originating from the learner’s personal equipment or local network providers.
8. Amendments to Terms
Reed to Rock Academy reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time to align with legal requirements or institutional improvements. Updated terms will take effect immediately upon publication on the website.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable institutional and commercial laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or academy services shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation prior to formal arbitration.
